Adding depth to a frame
A couple of lovely little prints in for framing today, now behind Artglass, so no nasty reflections. Both have been set back in the frame, the red hares are float mounted and then set back using foamboard along the inner edge of the frame. The Picasso like figure is set back in the black frame using a matching spacer. Both use a simple technique to really enhance the framing and make the prints that extra bit special :-)
Cutting
Some of the frame cutting I've been working on this morning. Bottom left are a new selection of oak mouldings we've got in stock now. The rest are all going to be gessoed and gilded for a series of paintings that will form the core of our winter exhibition next month.

School photos
I wish we'd had school photos this good when my son was younger, these are fantastic. Really colourful and the photographer captured some great expressions. Lots more colour in the framing, blue for a boy and pink for a girl...lots of fun :-)

Another lovely collection of ceramics has gone on display in the shop today. Hand painted by Mary Knowland, there are plates, bowls, mugs and cups. Figurative and patterned pieces, all collectable, practical and very beautiful.
